This is an independent heritage and history resource. We are always glad to hear from readers — with a correction, an additional source, a family connection, or a research question about the Masonic history of the mid-west.

Please use the form below. Because we are a small editorial project rather than an organisation with offices, we cannot promise an immediate reply, but genuine heritage and research enquiries are always welcome. We read everything that comes in, and corrections in particular are gratefully received — a heritage resource is only as good as the sources behind it.

What this resource is

These pages are an independent, non-commercial attempt to gather in one accessible place the history, artefacts and traditions of Freemasonry in Ireland’s North Munster region. Our material is drawn from published antiquarian scholarship, historic Masonic periodicals, museum collections and the general historical record. Where we describe a famous object such as the Baal’s Bridge Square or the Marencourt Cup, we have tried to distinguish carefully between documented fact and long-repeated tradition.

How we can — and cannot — help

Looking for the official body?

If you wish to enquire about membership or the current activities of Irish Freemasonry, those are matters for the fraternity itself and not for this heritage site. The Grand Lodge of Ireland is the appropriate point of contact, and the present-day North Munster province maintains its own separate official website.

Otherwise, you may like to return home or browse the full site map.

This resource is independent and unaffiliated. The contact form is provided for correspondence with the editors of this site only.
